Day Skipper Practical

This Course is built for those aspiring skippers who have some yachting experience and basic navigation skills. The course covers pilotage, navigation, boat handling, general seamanship and aims to get you skippering the yacht safely by day. It also qualifies you to get an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) that may be necessary if you sail or charter in certain European waters.

You will be asked to skipper the yacht on a short passage. The instructor will be on hand to give advice, encouragement and provide a shoulder to lean on. The essential element is that you experience being in charge,  taking the credit when all goes well and the responsibility when it doesn’t.

During the week you will visit many of the lovely bays and ports around Venice whilst all the time developing into a confident, safe skipper.
